Literature Text

He just stands there, at the door, listening quietly to the small, muffled, aching sobs from within, his own eyes burning. Finally, after the noise has stopped, he gets up the courage to open the door and walk into the room. There sits his love, staring into the distance. The older man knows he can break his concentration, but it doesn't feel right; so instead he too sits on the bed, gently, and starts to cry silently, just as the smaller man is, but he doesn't let him see.

He hates the tears that fall from the beautiful, pale, stunning face of his one and only, glistening like diamonds or perhaps ice. If he was drawing them, he would make them shine, just like diamonds, but clears as water. He starts when the smaller man moves, jerks his head up when he speaks. It's just one word, uttered in a broken, rough voice, so unlike his usual one.

  "Gerard."

Gerard Way moves over on the bed so he is behind the man he loves. He wraps his arms around him in a soft, comforting, warm gesture. The other man leans back, his eyes closed delicately, preciously.

"Frank."

Frank Iero turns his head to face Gerard, his usually bright, lively, warm brown eyes dull and sad. He lets them meet Gerard's worried hazel orbs. He looks down; whisperers something softly, indecipherable. "Frankie, can you say that again?" Gerard asks sweetly into his friend and band mate's ear.
"Thank you, Gee. I love you." Frank again whispers, but louder this time, turning to quickly peck Gerard's lips, before burying his face into Gerard's neck, hiding his face and taking comfort from his boyfriend.

Gerard smiles softly, gently kisses Frank's cheek, and starts rocking him back and forth. Just before Frank slips into sleep, he hears the soft, angelic voice that he loves so much whisper back.
"I love you too, Frankie; always and forever."

Frank's diamonds finally stopped falling completely, and he slipped into his most peaceful sleep since the accident.
Based of the song 'Her Diamonds' by Rob Thomas. I was listening to it and this image of Frank crying popped into my brain, demanding a story. This is the result! =)
