Matt stands outside of the Starbucks in Pittsburgh, staring at the snow blanketed city around him. The rest of A7x is inside, ordering their drinks, but Matt would rather look at the glittering white stuff falling from the sky.

He still remembers the first time they came to a city with snow. None of them had ever seen it before, and when they woke up surrounded by it, none of them quite knew what to do. So, of course, they went outside to associate themselves with it.

Everyone had fallen in love with it; Johnny had gotten lost at one point, but Jimmy found him, quickly herding the little Short-shit back inside to warm up. Zacky had made snow angels, the little flakes getting caught in his black and purple hair in an adorable way. Matt himself had just tossed the stuff in the air, giggling like a small child. And Brian had thrown snowballs at everyone, made snow angels with Zacky, and then tried to catch the drifting flakes on his tongue.

"Here you go, Mattie," A beautiful voice says from his side, and Matt looks over into the deep mocha of Brian's eyes. The dark haired guitarist is smiling at him, holding a steaming cup out for Matt to take. The singer smiles and places his hand on Brian's for a moment, getting a grip on the warm container.

"Thanks Bri," He replies as the others file out, laughing and joking. Jimmy and Johnny are hand in hand, slanting cute little looks at one another occasionally.

"I love how Pittsburgh looks," Zacky says out of nowhere, but the guys have to agree; the city has decorated itself with strings of lights on the trees, wreaths on the buildings, little decorations here and there. The whole city sparkles softly in the deepening twilight, an enjoyable sight.

"Yeah," Johnny breathes, "can't see this is Cali. 'S just not the same without the snow." Matt can't help but agree – in Huntington, this would seem a little out of place. The sparkling snow helps set the scene, the mood that the decorations create.

"It's beautiful, that's for sure," Brian says softly, coming up beside Matt, taking a sip of his coffee confection. Matt copies him, surprised to taste the warmth of hot chocolate. He glances at Brian, who smiles semi-sheepishly at him. "I know you prefer it in cold weather," he explains, a faint blush creeping onto his cheeks.

Matt smiles back, unleashing his dazzling dimples. "You're amazing, Bri-Bear," He declares, taking another gulp, enjoying the warm trail left behind. He falls silent now, listening and drinking as his friends make their plans. Jimmy and Johnny are going on a date, Zacky's gonna check out the science center, and Brian's gonna go on a walk, just check out the city and relax. It is their day off, after all.

As they split up, Matt catches hold of Brian's arm, which is warm against his slightly cold fingers. "D'you mind if I join you, Bri?"

Brian smiles, the twinkle-lights reflecting slightly off his eyes. "Of course not Matt; it'll be nice to just hang out with you." So they begin their descent, not really talking yet, just unwinding. After ten minutes they speak, about nothing really, just the idle chatter of two close friends.

Two hours and fifteen minutes later, they're halfway through the park when Zacky calls them on Matt's phone. "What's up Zacky?"

"Matt, where are you? You're the only one that we have no clue what happened to you," Zacky says, voice slightly panicked. Matt chuckles, flashing his smile again. Before he can respond, though, Zacky speaks again, after a suggestion from Jimmy. "Oh yeah, do you know where Bri went? I mean, he said he was going for a walk, but no one's been able to get ahold of him…"

Matt laughs again, speaking in between giggles. "He's with me; I decided to hijack his walk, cause I wanted to see the city, and, well, y'know…" He trails off, but Zacky knows – Matt wanted to spend time with his crush. Alone time.

"Ahh, got ya mate. Right, well, come back soon, alright? At least before nine, okay?" Matt grunts as a confirmation and says his goodbyes, not really feeling the desire to linger on the phone when he could be talking to most amazing person in the world.

"Should we head back now, Mattie?" Brian asks, throwing his and Matt's empty cups in a nearby trash can. Matt nods and they spin a one-eighty, now facing the chilly December wind, which whips around, causing the snow to dance around their faces. Brian shivers, hunching into his coat; Matt, upon noticing, shrugs out of his before pulling off his hoodie. "What're you doing, Matt?"

He holds out the black hoodie to Brian, who hesitates before shrugging out of his coat. He slips the extra layer on and adds his coat, breathing in the scent of Matt, who's busy hurrying back into his own protective outer layer. "Thanks Matt," Brian says, slightly embarrassed. Matt smiles at him, turning to face him. They both stop, standing still between the trees, snow falling around them.

Matt's eyes are tender as he takes in the picture before him; snow is falling to frame Brian with a white crown in his raven locks, his chocolate eyes warm and weighed with his obsidian lashes. Neither say anything, just look at each other; and then Matt reaches forward, cradling Brian's face in his palm, caressing the smooth skin of his cheek with his thumb. "Hey Mattie?" Brian whispers, taking a step closer.

"Yeah, Synshine?" He also moves closer, their chests inches away from touching. He flicks his eyes down to those thin lips, and then drags them back to the mesmerizing eyes that stare at him intensely.

Brian leans even closer, so now their mouths are as close as their chests. "I think that this is the part where…" He puts an arm around Matt's waist, moving ever closer. Their chest press together, their hearts beating rapidly, in tune with the other. "Where you kiss me,"

All of Matt's hesitation melts away, and he rocks forward that little inch so his mouth and Bri's connect sweetly. A few things jump out at him – well, besides the fact that he's kissing Brian Haner, aka Synyster Gates. Like how warm his mouth is, how he can still taste the coffee from earlier, mixing with dark and seductive taste that belongs to Brian alone.

They break for air, leaning their foreheads together, eyes warm and soft as they look at each other. They don't notice the fact that the sun has gone down, or that the street lights are flickering. All they notice is one another and how they feel in this moment.

Matt's phone goes off again, blaring music into the once-peaceful silence. He flips it open blindly, his mind slightly dazed by what happened. Brian snuggles into his chest as he places the cellular device next to his ear; he wraps an arm around the raven haired man, a warm tingle spreading through his chest. "Hello?" His voice, he notices immediately, is dark and husky. He clears it and tries again. "Um, hi."

"Where are you guys? It's eight forty and we have no idea where you are." Jimmy's voice sounds, a tint of worry flavoring it. Matt feels slight guilt blossom in his chest – making Jimmy worry is one thing no one wants to do.

"Sorry, Rev, we uh…got distracted…" He replies, feeling Bri give a slight laugh, which is muffled by his shirt. "We're at the park with the Point, by the way," He adds, so Jimmy can calculate how long it will take them.

Sure enough, after a short pause, Jimmy replies, "Alright then, see you in fifteen minutes, Shads." Brian looks up now, eyes twin pools of rich chocolate affection.

"Hey Mattie?" He says, using such a sweet and innocent voice, Matt feels like his whole body fills with butterflies.

"Y-yeah, Bri?" Brian takes hold of Matt's face, bringing them closer. He gives Matt another soft, sweet kiss, then takes a deep breath.

"I love you, Matt Sanders," He smiles, but Matt can see the fear – an emotion he has always thought Brian incapable of. He's Brian Elwin Haner, Jr. He fears nothing.

Except being rejected by the person he loves. Which is silly, because of course Matt likes him, he kissed him, didn't he?

So he returns the kiss, hugs Brian close, and whispers, "I love you more, my Synshine." They start walking again, hand-in-hand now, no longer looking at the beautiful, white city, but at each other. And both know, that no matter what, they will never view snow the same way.
One-shot I wrote, using my amazing city as the setting. I may not live in the city, but I'm in its subdivision thingy :D
And it looks really pretty in winter and just all the time, cause we're Pittsburgh and I was thinking of Bratt and yeah...
[link] = Pittsburgh street in winter
So this is the product :XD: And it's not even winter  Oh well, I still like how this came out!
